
April showers bring May flowers
The month of May is unique in the fact that it is usually past the time of frost and cold and is before the blistering dog day heat of the summer months. Some of the most vibrant colors are on display all through the month of May.
Below you will find an outline of some of the most notable blooming flowers within the month of May and the regions that they can be found. This is not considered all inclusive but will cover some of the more popular Spring flowers that nature has on display throughout the month of May.
Purple Iris
Wonderful Purple blooms that have a sweet smell almost like sugar. These have almost a grape like smell they are so sweet. Purple Iris flowers are great subjects for macro photography.
Azalea
Azaleas come in many differing colors and sizes and are very vibrant to photograph. Bright pink and red to a light bluish purple.
Peonies
A peony is a wonderful spring Flower which grows to a large round size. They vary in color from white to pink and red.
Tulips
The Tulip originates from Holland and comes in various colors. They are a signature flower of Spring and are best photographed in fields and groups of flowers.
Rhododendron
One of the most beautiful flowering plants of spring. These magnificent Spring flowers can range from a small bush to a large 25 feet tall giant.
Winter is over and the sounds of birds and love is in the air. So get outside and take some spring flower pictures. Each year you will find new and exciting specimen as you wander throughout the spring flowering forests.
